Course Module

During the Level 3 in Individual Support course, students must complete 15 units:

  • 8 core units
  • 7 elective units

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Individual Support Course, the applicant:

Must be 16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course.

Must successfully complete an Australian Year 10 qualification or equivalent and possess basic computer skills.

Should demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels in an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at Exit Level 3 and participate in a pre-training review (PTR) when enrolling into the course.

IHNA also welcomes mature age students of over 22 years without the minimum entry requirements to enrol to the program. Such candidates will be reviewed individually to assess the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.

Additional Requirements for Professional Experience Placement (PEP)
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance/Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate (AFP)/NCC
  • Applicable Immunisation certificate such as COVID-19 Certificate

LLN:You are required to complete an LLN test, within the first 3 days of enrolling

Confirmation:Upon completion of your LLN and any other prerequisites, you will be issued a Confirmation of Admission
Step 5
Cooling off period:Once enrolled students have a 5 working days cooling off period (from course commencement date) to withdraw from the course and avail a full refund of the fees paid
