IHNA Admission Requirements

However, there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the health industry.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders’ students are encouraged to apply.

16 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course.

Satisfactory completion of studies in applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 10 course is required for entry into this course.

Entry into this course requires IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent.

Students will undergo language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) to identify Language, Literacy and Numeracy capabilities at the time of Orientation (prior to commencing the courses).

Mature age students (22+) will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.

Digital literacy

Student must possess basic computer skills which includes covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.

IHNA has in place admission criteria for courses in its scope as required by its ‘Application and Enrolment Procedure for VET Courses’ to ensure that candidates meet industry requirements.

Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 Course or equivalent. 
Step 2
In addition to meeting the academic requirements applicants must demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels in an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at exit Level 3 and participate in a pre-training review when enrolling into the course.

Step 4
Interview: Once you’ve met IHNA’s eligibility criteria you will be contacted for an interview with an admissions consultant
Step 5
Offer Letter: If you’re successful with the interview you will be offered a place for the course as per the availability of each intake.
Step 6
Enrolment Fee: After signing the offer acceptance an invoice will be issued for the course. You may be eligible for government funding, so please call our team to know more.
Step 7
Confirmation of Admission: We will issue a conformation of admission once the enrolment fee has been received.

RPL and Credit Transfer

Students must submit a portfolio of past evidence, which may include third-party assessments, and partaking in an interview procedure. They can further have their prior learning and work experiences acknowledged in this certification. A practical demonstration of the portfolio presented by the students may also be used to evaluate student’s competencies and expertise, which will give the educators a clear idea. In addition to this mutual recognition and credit transfer allow students to have their previous formal training recognized.

Credit Transfer

Credit Transfer is only available for Australian qualifications when a student has completed the units considered necessary for a qualification at another Registered Training Organization.
